About the Role

The Supply Chain Analyst plays a key role within the Supply Chain team, providing analytical support, procurement administration, supplier management, and reporting expertise to ensure the efficient delivery of materials, services, and business objectives. The role supports purchasing activities, supplier performance, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of 3 days a week being based in the office. 

Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting Responsibilities:

  • Analyse demand, cost, inventory, and supplier performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance metrics using tools such as Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • Support the ongoing development and optimisation of ERP systems and supply chain reporting capabilities.
  • Generate insights and recommendations to support strategic procurement and operational decision-making.

Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Manage day-to-day supplier activities within assigned categories, including purchase order placement, expediting, returns management, and risk mitigation.
  • Prepare and manage RFIs, RFQs, and supplier benchmarking exercises to ensure competitive sourcing
  • Support the identification, evaluation, and onboarding of new suppliers in line with company procedures.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers, driving performance improvements and ensuring service expectations are met.
  • Monitor supplier performance and provide regular feedback to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with technology and Supply Chain engineering teams to optimise quality, delivery, and supply continuity
  • Identify DFM/DFA opportunities with suppliers to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Where applicable participate in supplier visits and cross-functional reviews to support new product introductions, problem resolution, and supplier development activities.
  • Conduct supplier and contract compliance reviews.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supply chain performance, efficiency, and resilience.

We're looking for a proactive, organised, and commercially aware individual who enjoys working with data, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.

About you

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have/be:

  • Experience in a supply chain, procurement, purchasing, or operations support role.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Microsoft Excel capability; experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools is desirable.
  • Experience supporting procurement activities, including purchase order management and supplier communication.
  • Ability to interpret technical information and communicate effectively with suppliers and engineering teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and responsive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player, with a strong attention to details.
  • Experience using ERP systems, preferably NetSuite or similar business management platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyse, interpret, and present data effectively.
  • Degree qualified in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, related discipline, or equivalent. Professional procurement or supply chain qualifications (e.g. CIPS) are desirable.
  • Experience supporting supplier management activities, including sourcing, supplier performance management, and commercial negotiations.
  • Understanding of the supplier lifecycle, from supplier selection and onboarding through to performance management and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks while managing competing priorities and responding effectively to critical issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and implement new ways of working while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
