About the Role
The Commercial Manager, Distribution – APAC leads CMR Surgicals Asia-Pacific (APAC) regional strategy and operations, leading our APAC channel partners, driving sales, market share, and profitability by overseeing all aspects of the commercial business, leading the commercial strategy including onboarding and developing our commercial partners, building organizational capability, working cross-functionally to allocate resources, and ensuring compliance with global and regional regulations. Key responsibilities include, managing all aspects of our APAC channel partners for capital and clinical sales growth, developing and implementing strategic business plans, identifying growth opportunities, building and coaching channel partners, developing and working in close collaboration with our channel partners, and fostering a positive organizational culture. The role requires deep knowledge of the APAC market, strong business development skills, and the ability to manage diverse cultural, compliance and regulatory environments. Onsite clinical support for new and key customers and ensuring channel partner support and upskilling will be key responsibilities of this role.
Responsibilities
- Sales Achievement: Responsible for achievement of key sales targets including capital sales and clinical sales within the APAC channel markets. Supporting our channel partners with their sales pipeline and maintaining strong record keeping utilizing defined CRM systems (SalesForce). In conjunction with sales operations, full ownership of the sales forecasting.
- Commercial Partner Strategy: Defining and owning the commercial partner relationships and overall regional strategy. Ensuring proper contract negotiations, onboarding and training of new distributors and continuous collaboration with existing partners. Ensure compliance of all commercial partners.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the company's strategic and business plans for the APAC region, ensuring alignment with global and regional strategies.
- KOL Management: Develop and foster KOL and customer relationships throughout the APAC markets in conjunction with Commercial Partners. Regular customer visits to ensure CMR presence.
- Customer Support: Onsite clinical and customer to help to upskill and/or onboard new channel partners.
- Business Development: Identify new growth opportunities, expand service offerings, and drive market share in the APAC region.
- Market & Regulatory Expertise: Maintain a strong understanding of the diverse regulatory landscapes, market access challenges, and healthcare dynamics across the APAC region.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various functions and global/regional leadership to achieve business objectives and manage risks. Cultivate groups of leading KOL’s/executives to advise on market and product development
We’d expect you to be willing to turn your hand to anything within the Commercial APAC remit that helps the team deliver its objectives.

About you
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have/be:
- Degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Finance, or Clinical Sciences, MBA preferred.
- Proven sales leader with a history of meeting and exceeding sales targets. Preferably, experience leading channel/distribution partners.
- Experience of medical device/medical products and solutions; marketing experience in an international business environment and in clinical settings.
- Experience defining value propositions and product launches across multiple countries.
- Clinical experience in the operating room with minimal access surgery and/or robotic-assisted surgery.
- Strong analytical skills and a passion for shaping the market changing the standard of minimally invasive surgery and driving business growth.
- Strong history of customer relationships and experience with KOL’s and HCP management within the APAC market.
- Significant experience in identifying, partnering and leading commercial partners/distributors.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and be flexible enough to change priorities with short notice when necessary
- Ability to succeed in a rapidly changing, agile environment where continuous innovation is requisite to success
- Availability to travel at least 50%+ as needed.
- Strong written and spoken English language skills
