About the Role
Working closely with Sales, Clinical Sales, Professional Education, Government Affairs and Global Marketing, you'll develop and execute marketing initiatives that create demand, generate high-quality leads and strengthen CMR's position as the partner of choice for surgeons and healthcare organisations across the UK. While your primary focus will be the UK, you'll also support our distributor partner in Ireland with aligned marketing activities and strategic initiatives.
You'll spend as much time understanding customers and supporting commercial activities as you will planning campaigns.
Success in this role isn't measured by the number of events delivered or brochures produced, it's measured by the opportunities you help create and the impact you have on the growth of the UK business.
Responsibilities
?Marketing Strategy & Commercial Growth
- Develop and deliver the UK marketing strategy aligned to the commercial objectives of the business.
- Design and execute campaigns that generate qualified commercial opportunities and support pipeline growth.
- Work closely with the sales leadership team to identify priority markets, accounts and specialties.
- Develop account-based marketing initiatives that support strategic NHS and private healthcare opportunities.
- Support marketing activities in Ireland by collaborating with our distributor partner to deliver aligned campaigns, events and customer engagement initiatives.
- Track campaign performance and continually optimise marketing activity based on measurable outcomes.
Brand & Product Positioning
- Position Versius as the robotic surgical platform of choice across our strategic focus areas.
- Adapt global messaging for the UK market while ensuring consistency with the CMR brand.
- Gather customer and market insights to continually strengthen our value proposition.
- Monitor competitor activity and recommend opportunities to strengthen CMR's market position.
Customer Engagement & Events
- Plan and deliver impactful customer events, workshops, congresses and educational programmes.
- Maximise the commercial return from every event through effective customer engagement, lead capture and follow-up.
- Support product launches and key commercial initiatives across the UK and, where appropriate, Ireland
Key Opinion Leader Engagement
- Support the identification, development and activation of key opinion leaders across our priority specialties.
- Work alongside Clinical, Commercial and Professional Education teams to maximise the impact of KOL engagement.
- Develop relationships with relevant surgical societies and professional organisations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Sales, Clinical Sales, Professional Education, Government Affairs and Global Marketing.
- Work collaboratively with our distributor partner in Ireland to share best practice, marketing resources and campaign execution.
- Ensure marketing activity supports the wider commercial strategy and delivers measurable business impact.
- Act as the UK marketing voice within the global organisation, ensuring local market needs are represented.
We’d expect you to be willing to turn your hand to anything within the marketing remit that helps the team deliver its objectives.
About you
We're looking for someone who enjoys building, not maintaining.
You'll be equally comfortable developing strategy, organising a national congress, presenting to surgeons, analysing campaign performance and rolling up your sleeves to support the commercial team.
You'll thrive in a fast-moving environment where initiative, creativity and collaboration are valued.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have/be:
Essential Experience
- Experience in downstream marketing within medical devices or healthcare.
- Demonstrated success delivering marketing activities that generate measurable commercial outcomes.
- Experience planning and executing congresses, events and customer engagement programmes.
- Strong understanding of working with surgeons, clinicians and healthcare stakeholders.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working closely with sales teams in a commercial environment.
Desirable
- Experience in surgical technologies, robotics, minimally invasive surgery or women's health.
- Experience managing KOL programmes and professional society engagement.
- Knowledge of the NHS and UK healthcare landscape.
- Experience supporting distributor or indirect sales markets.
- Experience using CRM and marketing automation platforms.
